The company's background
Founded at the start of 2017, ShowEquip Limited, based in Scotland, was created to provide clients with high quality equipment and exceptional customer service. Our portfolio has covered corporate and public events as well as private events such as weddings. Over the years we have been providing our various services across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and other areas of Scotland.
ShowEquip has worked both directly with our clients as well as alongside other event service companies expanding on our experience and knowledge. This working environment has allowed us to better understand client requirements and at the same time work effectively as part of a wider team.
Company Owner
Glenn Torrance has been an owner and director of ShowEquip Limited since its incorporation in 2017.
Prior to starting ShowEquip Glenn had several years of experience in the events industry working for multiple events companies both in full time employment as well as freelance work.
This experience includes:- installation and de-rigging of temporary power systems for clients in the utility, construction and events sectors whilst working for a global power generation company; working on local government contracts among many other corporate, public and private events doing staging, lighting design and control whilst working full time for an event service company; installing lighting and power for a black tie event as a freelancer for a global events company which involved staying on-site during the build.
Now with close to 10 years of experience of power generation & distribution, staging and lighting, Glenn has built a wealth of knowledge and is constantly adding to this from his work in ShowEquip as well as his many connections within these industries.
